Bob, from what I am hearing, the credit bureaus are way behind with disputes. When their 30 days are up, send them a letter saying that they had their 30 days, please delete. It might work.

One of the ways they frustrate consumers into doing nothing is to just ignore you. They should have place "in dispute" notations on these entries after receiving your information. Unfortunately, they always try to "verify" the information you sent with whoever is reporting it, so chances are you will have to go after the collection agency itself.

You do have violations here by the CRA's, though. Keep all letters, do everything by certified return receipt mail, and build your case against THEM in case they ignore you or falsely verify the info.

Send the CA a validation letter saying that you dispute this debt, you don't believe you owe this money, please provide proof that this debt is yours. Don't sign it with your real signature - print your name instead (they cheat sometimes) so no one can forge your signature.
