You have no obligation to pay them a dime. They CANNOT sue you for a debt that old.

They are crooks and con artists, if your husband had not closed the account they would have wiped it out.

If they contact you again tell them they have been reported to the FTC, your State's Attorney General office, your telephone company fraud dept. and your local sheriff's department for electronic fraud,harrassment and attempted extortion.

File a report with all the above.
