Disputed item and "verification"

I have requested an investigation on an incorrect item in my credit file with Experian and Equifax. Experian deleted the incorrect information after the 30 day period but Exquifax did not. On the 3lst day it showed deleted on Equifax online confirmation but 4 days later it showed back up on the first report confirmation number. Then I received a letter in the mail stating it had been “verified”. I have equested more information on the verification process, who verified, etc. and that sort of thing. They have not responded. Don’t I have the right to know this information? Is there anything that I can do now?
