I havent been on for awhile,so will update on the situation. Cards are in husbands name only,Im not an authorized user. We got very behind, but still made payments, small or what we could on all, except the Capital One that was the biggest and could not catch up. I stopped paying this year on it,there records show Jan, I have to check mine. We are making last payment on house and lawyer is drawing up deed in my name only, not my husbands. We have old vehicles,75 Monticarlo, and old wrecked van. Husband works making $500 a week.He got a certified letter today from municipal court that was from Capital One lawyer as plaintif . Husband has 28 days to send an answer to it, or if no responce a judgement will be issued. Question? 1. Do we respond?
2.Can they do anything with the house if
its just in my name?
3. Can they take our vehicles?
4. Can they garnish his wages?
Amount that is owed on this card is $3,200. We live in Ohio. Sorry so long, need answer fast. Thanks so much.
