does the SOL apply to cars? I bought a car, lost a job, handed back the car after 3 months of payments. This was in 1995. I was just contacted last month by a collections agency. I live in California. the original loan was for 9K. the CA letter states i owe 16K. any advice on what i can do? are there any sites that would deal with a situation similar to mine?
