considering BK but have no idea what to do

I live in KY. I am currently in the process of a divorce. Husband is leaving everything. I own my vehicle but still have a mortgage for 3 years. We have 1 joint CC and 5 total between the 2 only 1 is over $3500 the rest are around 1,000 to 1,500. I want to file bankruptcy but need to know if I can on the CC. Someone said there was new legislation against that. I need a clean slate to start over.
