Wrong is too mild a word. Pretty stupid is more like it. If you can pay your bills, you need to pay them. It's not the card companies fault there is nothing left over. I'd say settle if possible. There are no secrets in the world. All 3 of these companies knows you own property and have a job. Discover has a well deserved reputation for being nasty but for the amount of money involved and the fact that you do have resources, the other 2 will not be far behind.
