It is information on how to get a TIN or EIN, and using that for your credit rather than SSN. There is nothing wrong with TIN's or EIN's - that is why they say it's prefectly legal. There IS something wrong with using it to hide information when you are applying for credit - that's fraud, and you could end up in big trouble.

Plus, it doesn't work.
