I was wanting to purchase a new car last month (I got it!), but had questions about my credit, so I signed up for the free credit profile from freecreditprofile.com so I could view my credit report BEFORE I applied for a carloan. They promised easy cancellation via a toll free #, and said that if I did it within 30 days I would not be charged. I have spent over 17 hours on hold with them, and have placed over 100 phone calls. MOST of these phone calls end 30 seconds after I dial, with a recording that all CSR's are busy, and to please call back during a specified time. I also contacted my local newspaper about this, and they spent over 5 hours on hold, and had a staff of 10 people trying to get them via telephone.

Anyway, it's now been beyond the 30 days, and they did indeed charge my debit card. I have filed a dispute with my bank. BTW, the phone # that they put with the charge on my statement for them has been disconnected...grrr..

Just a warning for those considering using them..BTW, great website here, wish I had found it earlier!
