OK- I guess I missed the part about it being medical bills.
Send a letter CRRR to each of the OC's -outlining the circumstances. Request they make sure they instruct THEIR AGENTS the CA's to refund the extra $$. Inform them that under the FDCPA any violations by THEIR AGENTS are subject to their possible liability in any legal actions taken by you to enforce your rights. Further state that you expect the accounts to be removed from your credit reports and purged from all archives.
