I've been reading this site for a few days now, and I respect you guys for not getting too personal and passing judgement on people...

Is it time to give up, default, get back to life, and hope like he** they don't sue me? I have the following things going on - All are current account, a few are 30 days past due, others are as indicated-

Citifinancial - 45 days past due. Still owe $2000, they have an old car marked as collateral. Car is severely damaged/non-driveable and worth about $100 to a junkyard.

Nextcard - Currently 30 days late, payment is almost always 30 days late, paying minimum on $5000 balance

HouseHould Bank - Went 3 months behind 9 months ago. Am making $200 per month payments to a CA from 6 months back to now. Still owe over $4000.

Providian - Owe around $400, current.

Sears - Owe around $3000, currently 30 days past due.

Lowes card - $300 or so, current.

Mitsubishi Motor Credit - Wifes car, father in law cosigned. Current

Wells Fargo - My truck, we were able to obtain without cosigner. Current

Rent - Her grandfather owns the home we live in. He has been very, VERY forgiving. I'd rather pay him than buy groceries, but when he heard of our situation, we kept finding the money placed back in the house..Everybody needs a landlord like that!

Various medical bills totalling around $6000 that we MUST pay. My wife had a prior medical condition before we were married that has gotten rather expensive lately. We are to the point that we can not afford to pay the medical bills and the accounts listed above (minus the car payments) and still eat. And yeah, we tried the popcorn/noodle diet..;)

Don;t want to file BK. Stopping right NOW and waiting 7 years for everything to clear up is more acceptable to us than BK. Think we'd be sued? Is there one or more that we SHOULD keep paying because they are likely to sue?

TIA!
