If you tell us what State you are in, it would be easier to give our opinion. However, in general, I suggest you do the BK thing AFTER you have stopped paying on ALL except the co/signed car and the $400. balance credit card. If you can get that one PAID OFF and do not use it at least 60 days BEFORE you file BK and 60 days AFTER final adjudication, you will have at least 1 credit card left to restart your lives with. As to the medical stuff. Find out if your wife qualifies for the medically needy program in your State.
