When you sue them be sure to bring this little bit o info up. Straight from the BBB. P D I Management 625 The City Drive South Suite 150 Orange CA 92868 Business Started: 12/08/00 File Open Date: 12/08/00 Last Report Date: 09/26/02 Principal Contact: Vincent Galewick Phone: (888) 733-6858 Fax: (714) 919-2645 EMail: Not Available Web Address: Not Available Bureau ID: 13144784 Nature of Business This company's business is a collection agency. Bureau File Experience
We rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business performance record based on a pattern of complaints alleging unethical collection practices. Some complainants allege the company attempts to collect on debts up to 15 years old and have long past the statute of limitations for collection in their State. Other consumers complain the company uses harassment tactics, such as, inappropriate language, repeated phone calls, threats, and workplace calls in their collection efforts. Some complaints are filed by relatives and friends of the alleged debtors, claiming they also experience harassment by repeated contacts inquiring on the whereabouts of the debtor. The company responds to most complaints concerning old debts by ceasing collection efforts, and closing the account as a Statute closure. Allegations of profanity or other unethical behavior are generally denied. Most complaints regarding harasssment of friends or relatives are concluded by apologies and advisories that the phone and address for the complainant would be removed from their database, and no more contact would be made. One complaint is closed as disputed, meaning ther customer was not satisfied with the company's response. If you have been contacted by a collection agency for a debt which seems unfamiliar to you, carefully check your records to verify the the origin and amount before paying. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act protects consumers from unfair collection tactics including, threats, harassment, and collection of fictitious debts. This law also requires debt collectors to supply documentation to substantiate the debt upon request of the debtor. If they are unable to present the requested documentation, you are not required to pay the debt. Phone calls allegedly tracked with ANI's may still not validify the debt as the ANI will identify the receiving phone line, but not the actual caller. The Better Business Bureau does not endorse, recommend or disapprove of any product, service or company. Additional Phone Numbers (714) 919 - 2400 (800) 736 - 8200 (714) 919 - 2564 (949) 460 - 4119
