If the debt didn't come up when you bought your home, then it is most assuredly past the SOL, as the 7-year reporting limit for the CRA's is longer than most state's SOL for cc accounts.

Send these scumbags a Cease and Desist letter, certified, rrr, and in it you tell them never to contact you again as the debt is time-barred. WhyChat has a great sample letter on his site for exactly this.

Other than that action, Kelly is right, do NOT call them for any reason, they will only lie and scream and get nasty and its not worth your money to call these garbage rats.
