yes theres laws against info being givin out to others about you in trying to collect on a debt but collection companies break them ALL THE TIME .. id be major upset if i were you too but honestly its a VERY tough case to prove in court & thats the ONLY place where it counts .. somebody asked about something but a little different about this subject yesterday & basically i told him the same thing .. you'll get others that will be fast & quick to say oh boy , thats wrong sue sue sue & fast fast fast lol & i kinda smile when i see that then they'll count the violations like oh theres 1000 & 1000 & another 1000 there but in reality its not like that .. if i were you id check the tape recording laws in your state & then IF LEGAL & they say this to others on the phone again ( i know it was in person ) about your debts & such you then without a doubt at that time have a solid solid case but other wise its tough to prove .. hey im by far from an expert on this im an amateur really but MOST collectors are rude louzy human beings with no life but what i did in my case was caller ID & i ignored them cause most are LOSERS , i mean its kind of a bottom of the barrel type job , if you can speak be rude & yell then your hired lol .. kelly
