While I was married, my husband and I borrowed some money from his grandparents. We divorced two years
ago, and at that time they wrote me a letter stating that I should wait to pay them when I get back on my feet from the divorce. Now, out of the blue, I get
a letter from an attorney stating that they will file a judgement against me. I didn't realize that I was
in default. The loan is almost six years old. Can they do this? How should I respond to this letter?
Part of this debt belongs to their grandson also.
....help!
