The solicitation of a post dated check is NOT illegal. The tactics used in the solicitation may be oppressive or deceitful and the demand may have been oppresive in this situation which would make the WAY the solicitation was done illegal. The mere solicitation or writing of a post-dated check is not illegal. I'll be happy to aplogize if I'm wrong. Spend all the time looking that you choose to. You won't find a statute that prohibits the solicitation or writing of a post-dated check. Even when speaking to blood-sucking scum, it's generally a bad idea to accuse them of illegal activity when the activity is legal.
