Since its only been since July that you have been delinquent, you're probably dealing with in-house collection depts, not 3rd party collectors. Some say its best to deal ONLY with the OC, but OC's are not bound by the FDCPA, so in some ways you have more advantages when dealing with 3rd party CA's. You are most likely still dealing with the OC's anyway.
