We received the CAMCO letter a few days ago. It has a name that is not my wife's and never has been. Oddly enough, or maybe not, there is no information on here referring to the age of the debt, the account number in question, etc; It simply reads:

"This letter is to notify you that your MONTGOMERY WARD account which was formerly held by FOURSCORE RESOURCE CAPITAL, LL has been purchased by Capital Acquisitions and Management Company.

Unless you notify this office within 30 days after receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of the debt or any portion thereof, this office will assume this debt is valid.

If you notify this office within 30 days from receiving this notice, this office will obtain verification of the debt or a copy of a judgement against you and mail you a copy of such verification of judgement.

If you request this office in writing within 30 days after receiving this notice, this office will provide you with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor.

To discuss call __ at 877-298-0845..."

The letter is dated 10/1. I assume my next step is write a response stating that the above named person does not reside at this address and we do not know such person.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
