Kelly--- did you only read the title or the content. The title was sarcastic. The response you wrote basically agrees with what I wrote. However, I should have mentioned about the C&D I was more speaking about accounts that you are just trying to get not to pester you (not about those who are planning on filing suit.) Regaurdless if you state to cease all communication, written and verbal, or just verbal, (even stating "all actions identifying debt")99% chance you account will just get passed/sold on to the next company and it all starts over (in stat or not it will still get sold (it just might be a while before you hear about it)). We are agreeing there is no legal recourse after SOL, but, the point I was making is collection "efforts" for "volontary" restitution can and do still occurr - hence it doesnt go away.
