kathrine , yes i read your post & in my opinion your telling people to actually talk to collectors on the phone & just "my" opinion but i would not do that NEVER NEVER NEVER but on the other hand now IF the accounts still within the said states SOL for being collected on well hey then again in "my" opinion only they can write write write all they like & trust me i'll make good use of that scrap paper they kindly send out next to my phone for REAL messages , kinda like post it notes but free via those very thoughtful collection agencies , so yeah i like the letter via the mail stuff cause saves me a couple bucks in note paper , kinda like the use 1 800 COLLECT and save a buck or two as the commercial says lol .. i took acception in the final paragragh or so where you say deal with collectors there there to help you , LMAO , so i read very well what you wrote however DO NOT AT ALL AGREE AT ALL , 95% of collectors lie cheat & steal but hey jusy MY opinion ..like i say i "guess" you mean well but fact is many people file for bankruptsy & others choose not to they'd just rather go the chargeoff route but the facts AND the laws are still there for the consumer & yeah i'll agree "sometimes" the debts will be resold & resold for many many years but like i said in my other post ceast & desist ALL out of statue debts & its over till the next new great collection company TRYS to scam the uneducated consumer by taking advantage of most not knowing their rights , a blind frickin squirl sometimes finds a nutt as in sometimes a collector sometimes finds a sucker .. kel ..
