The FDCPA law on "venue" is phrased in such a way that any reasonable interpretation would be that the court where the suit is filed would have jurisdiction. I am not aware, in civil law of ANY situation where the laws of a different jurisdiction could possibly apply to a case filed in the venue of the filed case.
