That’s how I got out of 30K in debt without bankruptcy or consolidation. Hope this helps!

If this is true (you sound like you work for a collection agency) you better go check your reports. You still have R9's on there, and the reporting time has most likely been extended another 7 years. Tried to get credit lately??

Your advice, whether well-meaning or intentionally misleading, is incorrect, and I have posted answers to each point just incase someone new comes along and thinks you are talking sense. It is NONSENSE. I the system worked, then what you say would be true. But it just doesn't work this way.

If you went through devastating circumstances and ended up $30,000 in debt, then I wish you had found us before you found whoever gave you this information.

If you just ran up too much debt and didn't want to pay it back, then settling was as bad as walking away, why are you lecturing others?

If you are a collector, then go away, you will get nowhere on this board. We will answer every post with correct information and warnings to the consumers who frequent this board.

Linda
