Well, we agree tat everone should seek competant legal advice in their own State.

Unfortunately, from a consumer's point of view,there are few lawyers who get in on the defensive end of consumer cases involving FDCPA, there are many doing class actions and suits against creditors and ca's because of the "deep pocket" approach to law.

As a side note,it is true that the FDCPA does not apply to original creditors,however, there have been numerous rulings that once an account is charged off and sent to a collection department, even if "in-house" that it then falls under the FDCPA.
