Many people feel a 3 in 1 credit report is like getting 1 single reports from TRW, one from Experian and one Equifax on one report. The fact it should be is not always the case. They are not always the same. This all started with a mortgage company turning me down. I then found this board. The one thing Linda told me back then is keep every thing. I did that and I also requested reinvestigation from all three CRA. When it did not help I made more reinvestigation and when that did not help I just keep doing it, requesting reinvestigation. I then got an attorney. He soon proved he did not know consumer law. I fired him. I then got some help from Why Chat with letters, and two of the CRA removed the disputed file. The last CRA is still reporting inaccurate. I have been at this for almost a year. I now have a new attorney. He got a 3in1 credit report and then one from Equifax on the same day. The Equifax report on the 3 in 1 was not the same as the Equifax report by it sale. Point, you need to get all 3 reports from the CRA makeing the report. The point of this is, if you don't get results and you deal with a second party like the people provideing the 3 in 1. You are going to find out fast that thay can only give you the information provided to them. Get the 3 reports from the 3 CRA. Equifax, Experian and TRW. Ask for a reinvestigation of each. And ask that each item that is not yours be investegated as thay are not yours or you husbens. That should end it. But when dealing with the CRAs you never know. If the results of the investigation do not corect the problem.I would not do as I did. That is, keep trying myself. If I had to do it over again I would make one request for an investigation and if it did not correct the problem. Id get an attorney. And I don't mean some ham and egger that does credit repair. Get a consumer law person. It may be a little work to find a real one, but if you get to that point, you will have damages that can be recovered. Keep every thing, that 3in 1, any other reports you get and all letter you send or recieve. Make notes on all phone calls. If you get the the attorney stage, they will want it all. good luck.
