Please help! Harassing calls for 8-10 year old debt

I received a phone call today from Capital Acquisitions & Mgmt Co regarding a 8-10 year old credit card debt. I live in Texas. He threatened to garnish my wages, and/or sue. The credit card dates back to when I was single. Can they garnish my bank accounts (joint acct) or get to any other assets? Please help! I thought I was done with this years ago!
