hey just my opinion here but your talking ONLY 500 here on a case thats well within the SOL so YES you can be sued & YES if you know you owe the money TRY to settle with this attorney NOW to avoid going to court .. i believe you said you were served or about to be well than call him up & say look I DONT HAVE THE MONEY BUT im willing to work something out , how about we settle for half ( 250 ) and call it even , he'll either say yes or no if no feel him out i bet HE dosent wanna go to court either ... option # 2 say the heck with it pay nothing & see if your ever sued , i think you will be but just my opinion & if you dont show up in court then they win via default & instead of 500 it very well could be 750 becouse of court fee nonsense & then your credits shot over what , a few hundred bucks , trust me its not worth it .. i promise im not trying to be rude but theres people with huge credit problems becouse they lose their job & are sick or whatever & now have judgements on them & its tough so to do this to yourself when you can stop it for really nothing well me myself if you id stop it , so do it now .. if you were unable to pay & the debt was thousands & you truely had no assets id say oh well thats life & i cant pay but to put yourself thru all this for really nothing just my opinion but you should re think this & settle but hey just my opinion .. bye . kel
