Harrassment from creditors

I have received numerous calls from a particular debtor who has threatened to call my neighbors to get them to call me if the debtor can't get me on the phone. I asked how he knew who my neighbors were and he proceeded to call out the names of 5-6 of my closest neighbors. About a week or so later, I get a knock at my front door and one of my neighbors who has just moved into the neighbor and lives about one and one-half blocks from me was standing at the door out of breath and had two of her small children with her and they were on their bikes. She had a note she had written down the name and number of a person who said it was urgent that I call him. I have the note she wrote with the name and number on it. I recognized the name and the 800 number of the SOB that has been harressing me and threatening to call my neighbors. What and if anything can I do with this situation. Is it legal for creditors to use this harrassment and also bother and bring my neighbors into this innocently?
