Unfortunately, too many judges/courts are not UP on the FDCPA or TILA or even their own state's SOL statutes. Just as insurance against a uninformed judge, take along a couple of copies of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) that defines credit cards as open-ended accounts. There have been too many cases where lawyers for the creditors will argue that a CC is NOT an open ended account and the judges agree out of ignorance ! If it were me.. I'd take those copies as insurance, if you don't need them, great, but if you do, you'll be ready ! ;)
