I live in Missouri. My sears debt is like 10 years old this year. But I don't know the exact age of the debt. We don't own any property, well my husband and i have an car he uses for work that is paid off, that we paid $500 for. It probably isn't worth that. I only make 5.25 an hour and work part time.
The student loan thing isn't a regular student loan. Apparently at some point I took some summer courses and those loans were made by the school itself? Not exactly sure.
I figured I had to show up in court since I was summoned. I thought I'd take my most recent checkstubs in to show what I earn. Honestly, if they were able to garnish me, my employer would probably have to fire me. The company I work for is not very friendly to its employees. They run credit checks on you before you can move up into management, and they always assume we are stealing from them.
