Yes, they did have addresses for me (even if they weren't good addresses) and I didn't change my name, go to prison or end up in a mental hospital (though dealing with creditors might drive me there eventually).

I really don't think that any of my debts were major enough to warrant suing, but: if they did publish something and I didn't know about it, how could I find out? Would it appear as a public record on my credit report?
