An attorney whose only contact with you is to sue you, is ONLY required to put the "mini-miranda" on alll correspondence.

They are not considered "debt collectors" under the FDCPA unless they do something more, which is why they have not contacted you. Therefore they have no requirement as to "validation".

In addition, if they are filing on behalf of an OC, the OC is not included in the FDCPA.
