I just received a warrant in debt from Mazda American Credit c/o Primus Auto Financial. I leased the vehicle in March 1997. During the lease, I lost my job and was not able to keep up with the payments. I talked with MAC on several occassions because I did not want them to think I was snubbing the lease. Unfortunately for me, they were not sympathetic and told me to get the money any way that I could. As a result the car was repossessed 8/19/1999. At the time of the lease, I lived in Pittsburgh, PA. I now reside in Hampton, VA. I am not currently working. I also do not have additional funds to locate a lawyer. They are saying that I now owe 3921.67 net with 9% int + 33 cost + 588.25 att. fees. What can I do and what can I expect in court?
