? about credit report

On my credit report in the source/account # column there are several account names and partial address which I just cant recall. They may or may ot be my accounts. How can i get more info on these accounts such as full address and what the account was originally for(a loan for what). That info might ring a bell for me. Do I "request an investigation" or simply write them askig them nicely for more info? THANKS!
