I live in AK I wrote the check in AZ in 1999. They sent a letter to my old adrress last week saying I owe over $100 more than what the check was. The thing is I'm trying to get a home loan and for the underwriter to sign off on it. It needs to show paid. I know that I do owe for the check and want to clear it up but do not know how to go about it.
