If you dispute the accounts as "not mine-no such account on this date for this amount" the CRA's are required o obtain verificaton from whomever has reported it.

If they cannot verify, they must remove the account. If they DO verify, you are entitled to request proof (validation ) from the reporting ca, if the ca cannot validate, then you redispute with the CRA withcopies of your CRR letters and green cards to the CA's.It takes a few months to clear them away, but it is the safest way of making sure they do not stck like mucky glue as they would if you tried to pay them.
