By all means use your SOL defense and point out to the judge the relevent state statutes. I would also familiarize myself with the Truth in Lending Act (defines CCs as "open accounts") to back up your defense. As I have posted before, many judges and attorneys are unfamiliar with the laws pertaining to collection and need to be "educated". A judge will sometimes just "agree" to anything the CA's attorney will say and you cannot afford to let that happen.
