Just answer the writ as it is. I don't think you'd have much of a leg to stand on by claiming that its 'not me'. Is your SSN on the writ or paperwork, is it correct ? If you ignore it, they'll get a default judgment anyway.

The SOL generally starts at the date you first went late, or, the last time you made a payment. The date of last activity is your best bet for measuring the SOL, so you have until May 2003 before the SOL has run out. Since they've already filed suit, then it doesn't matter, they got in under the wire.
