The mediation referred to here is part of the normal civil court process. It is preliminary to the hearing before it goes into the court to try to resolve those cases that do not need to go to the judge.

This is where those who have no defense (SOL or otherwise)can obtain a mediated stipulation agreement.

The compulsary arbitration and/or compulsary mediation agrements are another kettle of fish.
