Reaging--what's up?

I am trying to dispute a reaged debt on my CR but first must know how to read my CR accurately and so would appreciate any advice.

The account in question appears on my CR in two ways: first, as reported by original creditor (presumably when the account first went delinquent), then as the collection agency account.

The thing that really bothers me, if I'm reading this correctly, is that the CA reaged not only their own date but ALSO the date of the original delinquency as reported by the creditor. It appears that they've set up a progression that, to anyone looking at the report, would make sense.

When CAs reage accounts, do they do so comprehensively, so that both the original date of delinquency AND their subsequent date are adjusted? Is that usually how they do it? I have never dealt with reaging before.
