Providian - are they up to something?

The last payment I made to my Providian account was on 4/9/02 in the amount of $25 (way below the min - but all I had as I'm unemployed). I periodically check my account online - just to see how much deeper in debt I'm getting each month. For some reason they show a payment in the amount of $450.68 made on 10/25/02. This amount is also reflected in the new balance. Are they up to something? I'm really confused. Thanks.
