I wish I could tell you something that would help, unfortunately all I can tell you is more bad news. If your account was charged off that recently you are within the time limit of being sued for the whole thing plus legal fees. Even if you were able to "settle" with THIS collection agency, tey would resell your BALANCE to another collection agency, wo would then still be able to sue you. Plus, anything you do will just prolong the damage to your credit. If you can file Ch7 or Ch 13,do so,it may not be pretty,but it will solve the problem faster and less expensively.
