It is common for collectors to call the consumer after they receive the consumer's dispute letter. This IS a violation of the FDCPA. You may want to save that message in case they continue to violate the FDCPA and you want to find an attorney to file a cause of action against them. If you have digital machine, make a recording of it on a tape recorder. Of course, if you would never consider suing them, you can just erase and ignore.
