i'll tell ya im a very easy going kinda girl here & maybe ive been reading this board to much or something & maybe its just me but i find this absolutely SHOCKING on how many scam deadbeat attorney/collection companies are really out here , this has WITHOUT A DOUBT got to be in the top 2 or 3 of major untold stories in america today on how comsumers by the truckloads are getting robbed under the pretense of * debt collectors * its AMAZING !! im not going to try to come across like im this such outstanding citizen cause i have my faults too but damn i dont break the law so i feel pretty good about myself EVEN THOUGH im according to collectors this such a bad person becouse i have 1 charge off from mid 1998 .. its like these scam telemarketers hiding as collection companies are breaking all kinds of both state & federal laws on a daily basis & getting away with it .. know what , honestly i dont have a problem with collection agencys trying to collect within all LEGAL means possible on any debt thats *WITHIN* the LEGAL SOL of the state their trying to collect on BUT THE WAY all these scam fly by night illegal collectors operate after ANY debt is past the said states SOL is nothing short of CRIMINAL & "in my opinion" they need to be held criminally responsible for their actions by way way more than the nothing fdcpa .. im not the smartest chic around but im far from stupid either & this in my opinion is WITHOUT A DOUBT the MAJOR untold story of today , people are just blind to it and the ones in trouble are just totally blind to their rights .. i read of people in desperate situations & scared after 7 , 10 & 15 years of trying to rebuild their life rebuilding their credit buying a home starting families than outta the woodwork like from ozz some scam crook telemarketer working ( thats a joke , its not working its robbing ) as a low class attorney that cant make it with REAL life cases so he or they buy 10 year old debts by going after people by breaking the law & ripping off comsumers praying the consumer is naive & totally blind to their rights , isnt there SOMETHING wrong with this picture ??? only tells me they stink as attorneys so than all they do is become mass mailing & mass telemarketing fraud agents d.b.a collectors .. i wont go on & on but i would not believe this goes on here in america in 2002 if someone were to just tell me this without reading all these horror stories by reading these posts , its really almost unbelievable but its happening ... kel
