I have fallen behind in my payments and am unlikly going to beable to make any further payments. The furniture store has threatend to reposes my furniture. I understand that if they do this, they will show up with a law inforcement officer and a warrant to search my residence for the property. If this is true wouldn't the warrant have to be sighned by a judge, and wouldn't they have to notify me when they plan to obtain this warrant so that I would have the right to contest thier claim ? Also I am curios if selling this furniture would be criminally illeagal ? Or if telling them I have sold it, when I had not actually done so, would be criminally illeagal ie: lying to them ? And if doing either of these things are illeagal, would they constitute commiting a mistomeanor or felony ? And lastly, is there any preventive action that I can take in order to prevent them from taking my furniture (BESIDES THE OBVIOUS OF PAYING FOR IT) ?
