No kidding !!

Kelly (and all), over on Creditnet this article was pasted out of a trade journal:

"WASHINGTON (10/29/02) -- Last Friday's tragic death of Sen. Paul Wellstone, the most ardent Senate opponent of the bankruptcy reform bill, could, ironically, hinder rather than help, the credit union-backed bankruptcy reform bill when the Senate returns after next week's mid-term elections for a so-called lame duck session. Credit union lobbying sources said one or more Democratic colleague of Wellstone could decide as a memorial to their late comrade to carry the ball and try to defeat the bankruptcy bill on Wellstone's behalf. "It's an interesting question. I don't think it's one that is easily resolved," the lobbyist told The Credit Union Journal. Separately, Kevin Chandler, president of the Minnesota CU Network, who was campaigning for Wellstone when the senator's plane crashed last week, said the state's Democratic-Farm-Labor Party is expected to name former Sen. Walter Mondale as early as Tuesday to replace Wellstone on the ballot. The state is expected to print and distribute new paper ballots to replace the ones with Wellstone's name on them opposite Republican candidate Norm Coleman."

Its a shame Wellstone and his family are lost, but with any luck this article will turn out to be what happens to that rotting, stinking bill !!
