You need to file an answer with the Court, you are beyond ANY SOL for collection on a deficiency for a repossessed vehicle.

You need to let us know which State the car was repossessed in, voluntary or otherwise, what papers you received for notification of the sale, what accounting was given you as to the disposition and resale.

If you can find legal aid to help you please do so. There is NO WAY a collection company can legally make a claim on a deficiency, unless they can supply ALL the documentation that it was done legally, AND that the claim for judgment was within the period of time allowed in THAT State's repossession laws. In lieu of any KNOWN time limit, it would fall under "oral" contract, dating from the time of resale and notification and accounting to you.

My website has a link under Misc. Legal Stuff to State Repo Laws.
