The letter I received from NCO Financial is as follows:
Pursuant to our conversation on 8/31/02, this letter is to inform you that the above client will accept the amountof $5000 as settlement for the above account. Upon clearance of your check, the account will be considered settled.

Is this suffiencent proof that it is settled?
