Sorry, this will take a while. I was served with a lawsuit last year in June regarding a voluntary repo on a car. The judge ordered me to pay the CA through an attorney at 100.00 a month to begin in Nov. last year. At the same time, I began receiving collection notices from Gulf State regarding the same acct. The judge was running late that morning, and I never got a chance to tell him about the collection letters from GSC. In Feb, I got a letter from the judge telling me that the suit was about to be dismissed due to lack of prosectution. In March, it was dismissed an I stopped paying on it. I haven't heard anything from the atty's office of record. What I want to know is do I owe GSC, who says they own the acct? and what did the other co. do with my money? Is there some way to get the 1000 dollars I paid them back?
