tell ya what i did & im in nevada 4 yr SOL on credit cards .. about maybe 60 days or so before my late in august 2002 SOL would have been up becouse my last payment to my 1 & only credit card chargeoff was in june 1998 but the card company actually let me charge on it to buy flowers over the phone from my bed on aug 22 1998 ( i was in a bad auto accident & in bed many mths , anyways ) after many different collectors from newyork to georgia to michigan having this account in collections i recieved a letter from a nevada attorney in early july 2002 stating IF i dont respond within 30 days they'll sue me blah blah blah .. see Nevada's a close bordered state meaning i could ONLY have been sued in nevada by a nevada attorney or nevada collection co. becouse out of state collectors in nevada are NOTHING but bags of wind & have no rights to legally collect but there still fun to play with anyways lol .. well whychat suggested i validate the debt even though i didnt really wanna being so close to my sol on august 22 , 2002 becouse in nevada the SOL dosent start on when account 1st became default it becomes in default on my last date of activaty from MY charges only not their interest fees and nonsense which of course was aug 22 1998 .. well i sent in a validation request on about day 25 crrr & got my green card back about 5 days later & NEVER HEARD another word from them once i told them to properly validate .. moral of the story if your close to sol under 60 days & lawyers threatening to sue validate "late" in the 1st 30 days & that about destroys their chances at validating before the SOL passes like mine did .. whychat was correct in my case & it workied out great for me but just my opinion .. goodluck kelly .......
